On September 14, 2021, Nissan revealed the exclusive 2021 GT-R "T-spec" edition, a limited-production model designed to elevate the driving experience. This remarkable variant, positioned above the GT-R Premium grade, introduces a host of enhancements, making it a standout in the GT-R lineup.

The GT-R T-spec boasts wider front fenders borrowed from the Track Edition, distinctive gold-painted RAYS® forged aluminum-alloy wheels, and a sleek carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Complementing these upgrades are body-colored door mirrors, black hood ducts, and T-spec badging, contributing to a captivating exterior transformation. Notably, carbon ceramic brakes with brake air guides from the GT-R NISMO are integrated, ensuring top-notch performance.

One of the most striking aspects of the GT-R T-spec is the introduction of two exclusive exterior colors – Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple. Millennium Jade, previously featured on the rare R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür, pays homage to its legacy with only 156 units produced in this color. In a groundbreaking move, this marks the first time Millennium Jade is available on a GT-R in the U.S. market. Meanwhile, Midnight Purple, a modern interpretation of the Midnight Purple III, adds a contemporary touch inspired by the R34 V-Spec and the limited 2014 Midnight Opal R35 GT-R.

Inside the T-spec, the ambiance is elevated with a special "Mori Green" interior color, premium semi-aniline leather-appointed seating featuring pearl suede accents, and a quilted Alcantara® headliner. T-spec badging throughout the interior underscores the exclusivity of this edition.

Powering the GT-R T-spec is the renowned hand-assembled twin-turbo VR38DETT 3.8-liter V6 engine, generating an impressive 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is mated to an advanced paddle-shifted sequential 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, working seamlessly with the GT-R's distinctive independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system.

With its limited production, distinctive design elements, and performance enhancements, the 2021 GT-R T-spec stands as a testament to Nissan's commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.
